Dylan Ryder has made a grand return to the world of adult. She dabbled before but is now back and better then ever. Recently she launched her website Dylanryder.com and it's doing great. She is sweet and charming and was a delight to talk to. She has the most impressive list of jobs before porn under her belt. But don't worry men, this lovely lady isn't going anywhere soon. Her porn career is blowing up and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of this girl.

Lucy Vonne: So how’s life in the world of Dylan Ryder?

Dylan Ryder: It’s fun, it’s busy buts it’s fun.

Lucy Vonne: Rumor has it you’re a big Yankees fan.

Dylan Ryder: I am, have you seen my Twitter?

Lucy Vonne: Yeah I have seen the Twitter.

Dylan Ryder: And all the shit talking that I have been getting back.

Lucy Vonne: But you grew up in California so how did you become a Yankees fan?

Dylan Ryder: I guess a lot of my favorite baseball players were always on them. I’m a huge Babe Ruth, Roger Maris and Steve Hanks fan. So more so for the history of the team. I do have a lot of friends that are native New Yorkers that I get a lot of support from. Cause being out here it’s like wait your what? So if you’re not an Angels or a Padres fan it’s weird out here.

Lucy Vonne: Do you follow any other sports?

Dylan Ryder: Ah not really, that is like my favorite thing. I’ll watch other sports but I only follow baseball.

Lucy Vonne: How was your Halloween, did you dress up as anything?

Dylan Ryder: No I didn’t. My Halloween was kind of, well I kind of did I guess. I was actually with family and I took some of my cousin’s children trick or treating. But then we did end up dressing up but it was only for like an hour because it was just so late. I dressed up as a bird, I know that sounds retarded but my friend made this really cool costume that was a tutu that had a bunch of feathers. All her friends were dressed as kinds of birds so I was a blue jay. It was really cool but it didn’t last very long.

Lucy Vonne: What was your favorite costume you had when you were a child?

Dylan Ryder: Oh that’s a good question. Oh wow I don’t know. I remember my sisters because my little sisters are twins. My mom dressed them up as a pair of dice and were in big boxes and that was pretty cool. I can’t remember any of mine actually.

Lucy Vonne: So you recently did this whole porn stars with skateboards thing, tell me about that.

Dylan Ryder: It was done about a week ago and what it is, is a skateboard company goes to a girl in the industry and say because of your image and your popularity we want to take a picture and put it on the back of the board and only make about 50-60 skate boards. And you sell them and then the girls make a percentage back at the end. But the way I wanted to do mine was instead of me taking my percentage I would rather turn that around and take the picture and print it out and send them out to troops in Iraq or Afghanistan as a Christmas present. So the theme that we did was military feel and we did it at an old military base in Orange County. And what they are going to do is take the same picture and get it reprinted and I’ll sign them all for Christmas and then send them to Iraq. Then when the board is actually ready and has been manufacture for sale we going to do meet and greets at different recruiting stations around Los Angeles County. And be able to meet people get a couple more address so we can send more pictures out and spread more awareness overall.

Lucy Vonne: I’m sure you’re going to make a lot of military men very happy.

Dylan Ryder: Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for. It’s always been a request to send pictures like I hear “my brother or my boyfriend are over seas could you send pictures.” I thought what a better way to do it then at Christmas time and just be able to do it on a more wide spread note then just on a individual basis. I hope it goes over well. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that it goes well.

Lucy Vonne: Do you know how to ride a skateboard yourself, are you going to learn?

Dylan Ryder: I don’t, I tried when I was a freshman in high school cause I kind of hung out with a skater crowd. And died my hair purple and red and stuff. I don’t know what I was doing.

Lucy Vonne: You just launched your website Dylanryder.com, how is that going?

Dylan Ryder: Good it’s actually going really well. It’s available to every credit card company, which was at first an issue but since that’s been resolved it’s been available to everyone. So far it’s doing really well. Before when I had it as a free site anyone could join as a fan and they could message me and it was overwhelming.

Lucy Vonne: Are there any special features on it that you’re proud of or excited about?

Dylan Ryder: I really like the fact that, well a lot of people message me through facebook or myspace and stuff like that. Those sites are particularly hard to keep up with because there is such, every time I go on it’s like 101 messages. It’s so much time to go through all of them and find out which ones are BS and which ones are random stupid stuff that I’d rather not answer. I like the fact that on my site you can direct message me and ask the questions. There are two different categories so if you just want to say something to me that’s one and then if you want to ask a question that’s another. So then I can answer those questions and I’m always on it. I don’t know if you’ve read through some of the stuff people have asked but I’m always 100% honest and straight up with answers. Some people are like oh that’s a bummer because they were expecting something else and I’m like oh well I’m going to be honest with you. Then they message back I’m more sexy because of that. Because instead of some big embellished story they hear everywhere they hear the real stuff. I’m like oh no id rather just be me.

Lucy Vonne: I think fans definitely appreciate the realness more because then they really see you.

Dylan Ryder: Oh exactly and especially when I meet people because in my town there is definitely a lot of chances for them to meet me. I always take time with everybody and there are a lot of people who are just like wow you are such a down to earth kind of girl. I’m like yeah what am I supposed to be like, that’s just really who I am, I think its cool.

Lucy Vonne: So you mentioned facebook and myspace, how many social sites are you on and what’s your favorite?

Dylan Ryder: I have to say I’m really liking Twitter. At first I wasn’t going to do it but then I thought this is actually kind of cool. Because at the end of the week I would blog on my site and catch everyone up on what I’ve been doing. But on Twitter it’s like a constant blog where you don’t have to fill in the blanks. You can post what your doing today and the next day and people get it and I think that far better then anything else. I think it’s really cool. I’m also on Myspace and Facebook but that’s pretty much it.

Lucy Vonne: How has the interacting with fans been on Twitter? Has it been helpful, fun, anything strange?

Dylan Ryder: Yeah it’s been really helpful. Not only can you say something and a bunch of people comment back to you but I might realize and say “Oh hey your not a member of my site” and you can interact with them that way. I can tell them about my site and upcoming projects and stuff like that. But also they can find out who you are. A lot of people get on there and put a bunch of porn related shit. I get on twitter to put stuff that’s not porn related. Just if it’s about me or just whatever is on my mind or routing for the Yankees. You know stuff like that, because of that alone I’ve gotten a bunch more attention from people. Like who is this girl talking about the Yankees and then they go and they look and they’re like that’s kind of cool.

Lucy Vonne: I read that you were involved with competitive swimming when you were younger, how far did you get with that?

Dylan Ryder: Well I actually swam until junior year in high school and I started swimming when I was 8. So I swam competitively up through high school. Was on summer water polo leagues, summer swim leagues, and travel leagues. Actually when I was 13 I told my mom I wanted to swim the length of the Golden Gate Bridge and she was like ok so push for that. So when I got into high school I thought for sure I was going to go to Pepperdine. I was actually pushing for a swimming scholarship. Going into my junior year I discovered boys, partying and staying out late. A bunch of my friends and I were all athletic and we decided to push it to the way side and all have fun. So that’s kind of where that ended unfortunately.

Lucy Vonne: Do you keep up with it at all? Do you still swim for exercise?

Dylan Ryder: Yeah I’ve always loved swimming, whenever I get a chance I’m in the water. I love going in the water going in the ocean. I actually in the summer time went a lot to the beach and I would go boogie boarding and swimming. Me and my sister would see how far we could swim. It’s fun but I don’t do it nearly as much as I used to. It’s kind of disappointing because I think about it now and I think oh that would have been really awesome, oh well.

Lucy Vonne: What did you do for work before porn?

Dylan Ryder: I did a bunch of different things because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. But one of the things I really had an interest in was well what I wanted to be was a psychologist. And then I got into the field of substance abuse therapy and so I did drug and alcohol rehabilitation counseling for inmates that were at a prison in Trenton California that had 6 months or less before their release and part of the condition of their release is they commit to a substance abuse program. So that’s what I did, I provided treatment, group therapy session stuff like that. And I did that for a while. Then was in the industry for a little bit. Which was really only a little bit, it was like 6 months. Then I went on to become a correctional officer in Arizona and I did that until I came back.

Lucy Vonne: Do you see yourself ever returning to that field?

Dylan Ryder: Um no I don’t think I would be able to return to that field even if I wanted to. Only because right before I left that position a lot of people started to make the connection that I was Dylan Ryder and now everybody knows. So I don’t think I would be able to go back to that at all with out people going “Ooo” because that would be a huge conflict of interest I don’t think that would be really safe.

Lucy Vonne: Do you think you will stay in this industry for a while or try something new like directing?

Dylan Ryder: Um I definitely want to pursue it; I want to stick with it. The industry can treat you really well if you handle it in a responsible way and I’m very professional when it comes to it. And I have a lot of fan participation and I really enjoy that aspect of it. But I think eventually it will be time for me to move on. What I’m going to do past it I’m not quite sure right now.

Lucy Vonne: You just wrapped a role in Wicked Pictures Mad Love can you tell me about that?

Dylan Ryder: I play a main character and Tommy Gunn and I have a wedding, which was kind of cool. And the whole thing is we have a friend who’s at our wedding who’s Kaylani and she likes Rocco who plays another character. But they meet at out wedding and it follows our story about how we’re friends and the crazy events that lead up to their wedding. Which is the way they ended the movie. There are actually some really funny parts.

Lucy Vonne: Do you like when it comes down to the acting in the movies or would you rather just do straight sex scenes?

Dylan Ryder: I actually like it. I think it’s a lot of fun to get involved with stuff that’s more then just performing and stuff that’s a little edgier. That may not even be completely sexual driven. I think it’s fun to explore different projects.

Lucy Vonne: Which companies do you really like working for?

Dylan Ryder: I really like working for Penthouse especially. I also like working for Hustler, two really good companies. I like Brazzers just because I know all the crew from Nevada to California. I just know all of them on a personal note so they’re really fun people to work with. I also like working for Wicked

Lucy Vonne: Penthouse, you got your start with them with pictures correct?

Dylan Ryder: Yea I did.

Lucy Vonne: How was that? What made you want to send your pictures in? Was it spur of the moment?

Dylan Ryder: Well actually when I very first got started I had a friend who was in the industry. And I didn’t believe her that she said she did porno I was like no way. Then she showed me some stuff and I though that’s interesting. We happened to be sitting and I think I was looking at a Penthouse and I really liked it. We were both looking at it and I said “Wow that would be so cool” and she’s like “Well you could do it.” I’m like “No no no no.” But how it started was I sent my pictures to Maxim's top 50 college girls or something and I got flown to Florida. When I was in Florida I did my first scene and then just took it from there pretty much.

Lucy Vonne: Do you remember when you first encountered porn when you were younger and what you thought about it?

Dylan Ryder: I actually never watched porn. I actually never saw anything ever until I did it. I was actually in it but even since being in the industry I’ve only watched a porn from start to finish for the first time like 4 months ago.

Lucy Vonne: Oh really.

Dylan Ryder: (laughs) Yeah I never watched it. I’ve watched trailers and previews and when I’m on set of course I see stuff. But I’ve never actually sat down and watched an entire film from start to finish. But one of my dear friends who was a director for Hustler was Richard De Montfort. So I thought to kind of pay homage to him oh I’ll watch the Kardashians spoof that I did and that was one of the last films that he made. So I watched it from start to finish and that way my only experience watching something from start to finish.

Lucy Vonne: So how much controversy did you cause with that movie? Because I heard one of the Kardashians was trying to stop the movie and was suing.

Dylan Ryder: It’s actually kind of funny because I had only told one of my sisters. Yes I have two and my other sister lives in another state. So about a month after it came out and we started doing some publicity for it my other sister calls me freaking out saying you’re on TMZ. I go what do you mean I’m on TMZ? Sure enough I’m on TMZ they’re showing clips from the movie. I guess Kim Kardashian had a fit about it and was outraged and the people on the show actually thought it was really really funny. So it got a lot of positive feedback but it didn’t get marketed in a way I think it could of made it huge. It didn’t get marketed that way unfortunately because they were making a big fuss about it. Either way I think it’s funny because they are one of those reality whore type families so they should be made fun of. And it was all in good humor, but she took it way to personal.

Lucy Vonne: Are you a fan of reality shows yourself?

Dylan Ryder: I’m not really. I don’t even watch a lot of TV to be honest.

Lucy Vonne: Do you ever watch your own scenes?

Dylan Ryder: Um yes just trailers and previews not the whole thing. It’s weird really weird to see yourself.

Lucy Vonne: What upcoming projects do you have that you are really excited about?

Dylan Ryder: As of right now I’m kind of slowing down as the holidays approach. So as of right now I don’t have anything really fantastic to brag about except I’m just going to keep doing Dylanryder.com and make sure I get the best content I can for my site. And part of that is being very selective. Obviously I’m going to be doing content a lot and I want to make sure we maintain it’s exclusive. So there’s certain people especially the guys in this industry I wont be doing trade with so that it doesn’t get repeated because that happens a lot. I want to make sure everything you find on my website isn’t something that’s going to be duplicated or repackaged and put on a compilation disk. Because then people will feel ripped off because they’ve see it. I just want to make sure that’s not what we’re a part of and we are making stuff that is only exclusive to my site and they can only see it there. I think it makes the experience much better because they are getting their money’s worth.

Lucy Vonne: How often do you hope to get new content up?

Dylan Ryder: I do content at least two days out of the month so every month I shout out different girls that I definitely want to work with. I keep an eye out for people that I find attractive because I hand pick all the models that I do content with and pretty just do it that way. Kind of follow who’s popular whom I’m attracted to. Then I come up with something really cool and say, “Ok how do you feel about doing this?” For the most part everybody that I work with is similar to me in terms of personality, they are very outgoing they’re very sexual and it just makes for a much hotter scene.

Lucy Vonne: Are you going to AVNs this year?

Dylan Ryder: I definitely am. I don’t know if I will be signing for anyone as of right now but I’ll defiantly be there.

Lucy Vonne: Is there anything you’ve done that you think will get nominated? Is there anything you hope will get nominated?

Dylan Ryder: I don’t know if they will be or not. There was and I can remember the name of it but it was a scene I did for penthouse and it was really really cool. They said they were hoping to do something with it. But I know it was hotel something but I can’t remember what they were going to call it because it was a working title. I feel really confident that that one would be a good one.

Lucy Vonne: Gearing up for the holidays, are you a big holiday person?

Dylan Ryder: I am, Christmas is my favorite and normally what I would be doing at my household is starting decorating like yesterday. (laughs) Cause normally I’m all about Christmas and I start playing Christmas music as soon as Halloween is over. And I’ve got boxes upon boxes of Christmas decorations. It’s definitely my favorite holiday by far.

Lucy Vonne: Well I want to thank you so much for taking the time out to today.

Dylan Ryder: No problem any time.

Lucy Vonne: And good luck with everything and I look forward to that skateboarding thing that sounds really cool.

Dylan Ryder: Oh I know it’s going to be awesome.

Lucy Vonne: And you’ll have the dates for all of it up on your site?

Dylan Ryder: Yeah there’s going to be pictures because I actually just got them back so the pre approved pictures that they may or may not, well one of them is going to be used on the back so it’s the 3 that were approved. So I’m going to put up a blog where they can find it and how long its going to take to manufacture and also a list of all the places I’ll be doing meet and greets while I’m promoting that particular product.

Lucy Vonne: That sounds awesome and good luck with that and I think it’s awesome what you’re doing with the troops and all.

Dylan Ryder: Aw thank you very much.
